PTP at Beckenham Place Park Partners with Sports Guardian
We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with PTP at Beckenham Place Park. PTP delivers open water swimming, paddle sports, youth development, training courses and school programmes.Everything PTP do is built around structured safety, professional standards and inclusive access.
Pia Philbey, PTP Company Director says, “As soon as we knew about Sports Guardian, we had to build it into our safety structure for open water swimming and paddle sports. Beckenham Place Park is a London location that gets incredibly busy in the summer with up to 1,000 swimmers a day. We’ve been working with Sports Guardian as they developed single use guest bands and a booking system that both integrate with their core participant safety system.
We launched with Sports Guardian on 15 April before the switch over to our summer timetable on 21 April and the response from our community has been really positive.

Strategic Partnership
We are delighted to share that we are now a strategic partner of Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK).Jo Talbot, Commercial Director at RLSS UK, says: “At RLSS UK, our vision is for communities to be free from drowning, and we're always looking for innovative ways to support people to enjoy water safely. Our partnership with Sports Guardian supports this mission by offering swimmers and operators a simple, affordable way to access vital medical information in an emergency. By combining innovation with practicality, we’re helping to improve safety and empower individuals and venues to take proactive steps in safeguarding lives.”
The partners will launch a series of initiatives to help educate swimmers about the importance of sharing medical information in an emergency. The first joint initiative will see RLSS UK offering its own Sports Guardian branded band via its online shop or directly from Sports Guardian at https://shop.sportsguardian.com/rlssuk/getsafety. Future initiatives will include joint water safety education, particularly around open water swimming safety awareness, and the importance of not swimming alone at non-lifeguarded sites, the health benefits of regular aquatic exercise, fundraising, and more.
